Welcome to the New Livable Design Blog!

Livable Design wishes to affect change in the building industry.  With a brand new year (and a new blog!), this is the perfect time to reaffirm our belief that a home built for all ages and abilities, a home that functions well while still being beautiful, is a home that is right for home buyers both today and into the future.
Using the principles of Livable Design, a beautiful home environment is created by blending style, function and convenience. We believe Livable Design is:
-          Inclusive. It is a home environment that accommodates all generations and abilities.
-          Flexible. The infrastructure of a home incorporates elements that allow future integration of supportive features and technologies.
-          Beautiful. Supportive features maintain the integrity and consistency of the overall home design. It emphasizes a natural, integrated look and feel to all of the design features.
Last year we launched our new Seal of Approval program, which is built around a combination of core features to be included in every home, and additional features, chosen by the builder, based on the goals and constraints of each individual project.  We believe this core foundation, coupled with a flexible array of options, makes it easier than ever before to build a Livable Design home.
We are excited to see what 2013 has in store for Livable Design!  Follow along with us here or connect with us on Facebook or Twitter.  For more information, visit our website at
